Support planning and execution of DOE (Design of Experiments) to investigate promising electrolyte material candidates, and provide technical comparisons and critical assessment of their potential;
utilize statistical tools for results analysis, and determine the importance of multiple factors/parameters; work on the development of advanced electrolyte formulations as technical solutions to ensure certain cell chemistry achieves cell performance targets; support design and development of electrolyte formulations to achieve long cycle and calendar life, improve safety performance, including overcharge, nail penetration, crush and hotbox, etc.; document results, prepare reports, and communicate results across the organization; collaborate with multi-functional internal teams and external vendors in all aspects of new cell platform development; support initiation and management of bilateral projects with external R&D Teams (Universities, R&D institutes, start-ups, etc.); define and review internal processes related to QC of electrolytes for production; develop intellectual property to protect the company’s technology developments and secure a competitive position; adhere to the program timeline to ensure program deliveries are on time and under budget; perform other functions as required to ensure the success of assigned projects and to support the R&D operation.
